In their own words
Jean Lyle Children's Center helps children develop by nurturing creativity, kindness, and a love of learning. Our large space allows for opportunities to make friends, get along in a group, and move forward socially, emotionally, physically and academically. One of our goals is to bridge the connection between home and school in a setting of trust, respect and gentle guidance. We understand the value of play and know that the opportunities presented here will give children the skills they need to be successful for years to come. We have an indoor gym with tricycles and climbers, an art studio, a science table, both small and large classrooms stocked with a wide variety of toys, dramatic play props, and creative thinking games and minipulatives. We are proud to have loving, experienced, patient and well-educated teachers who are interested in our school and in the families we serve. We look forward to serving your child.
We use a developmentally appropriate, site-designed curriculum and instruction approach that is guided by Creative Curriculum to plan for and support children's early learning in our program.
Our program is unique: At Jean Lyle, we provide a safe and nurturing environment for children ages 3 to 6 years old to make friends and choices, to take joy in learning, to be both independent and cooperative, and to learn through play. In a setting of respect and acceptance, we provide a transition from the family to the larger world. Our stable, experienced staff, in partnership with parents, supports each child's stage of development, responds to individual needs, and offers guidance and opportunities for continued growth.
